WILLIAM GOLDMAN, METAL SCULPTOR
My sculptures contain abstract organic and architectural shapes with some recognizable forms. Standing and wall sculptures are medium and large scale, and they are made from recycled steel and stainless steel. I create my art by making the metal match my mind’s image through a hands-on process: cutting, shaping, grinding, welding and finishing. I have applied some unique finishes and abstract painting techniques to many of my works which give them a 4th dimension.
I started my career as a full time metal sculptor in 2000 after a forty-year career in advertising as an agency Owner/CEO. Since starting as a full-time sculptor, I have participated in over 175 art exhibitions around the country. Over 200 of my works are in private and public collections. My goal is to make the viewer, through their own interpretation, part of the creative process.
